Impending Sounds : Barnum Meserve – Colours

This track ‘Colours‘ is taken from the self titled album (due out in early 2015) by The Barnum Meserve and what a stunning track it is. With its powerful chorus line this song hopefully will trouble the charts, but that’s for you the public to decide. The trio comprises of Leon Wiley (Piano/Vocals), Dylan Griffiths (Bass) and Paul Moss-Pearce (Drums) and their sound sits somewhere between the melodic sounds of Coldplay and the harder rough edges of Elbow. Leon’s vocals are quite Wiley (pardon the pun) and that’s an added attraction from all the smooth clearcut voices around at the moment. Hailing from Nottingham back in 2007 in an area that has a large rock and indie fan base this should help the band’s appeal should spread further afield quite quickly I feel.

What do you think of this then?
