Hidden Gems : Max Richter – Vladimir’s Blues

I came across this exceptional composer Max Richter by chance – purely as this song is used for the strange but compelling TV series ‘The Leftovers‘. Reading more on this composer he’s influenced by electronic and punk, two of my real loves in music. You can tell a great piece of classical modern music by how many times it’s been recorded by other people, just like Ludovico Einaudi’s output. It’s such a great uplifting piece of music.  On researching more on Max’s work I also stumbled upon is re-working of Vivaldi’s ‘Four Seasons‘ definitely worth a listen. Back to the series ‘The Leftovers‘ their music selection in each episode has been inspirational.  They did use some more wonderful tracks by Max including ‘November’ and ‘The Twins (Prague)’.

Does this music inspire you?
