John Peel – Would Have Been 75 Today

There is no getting away from music and the name of one its new music biggest champions, John Peel. He would have been 75 today but even now almost 10 years since his untimely death he’s still close to many people’s hearts. Why? He helped many acts get their big break and opened the ears of his audience to music no one else played. His legacy is there to be seen in the shape of the BBC radio station 6 Music (24 hours of the type of music the great man would play). I’m not going to dwell on this as there are many other far more qualified to do so than me. Simply I’m going to raise a pint later tonight down my local pub, Happy Birthday John!
