Sam Bailey – Electrifies The KP Stadium Crowd

Last night I went to see my beloved Leicester City entertain the mega rich Manchester City in the Quarter-Finals of The Football League Cup. We were the only non Premiership club left in the competition. We were not expected to upset the apple cart with our opponents winners over Arsenal 6-3 at the weekend. This was preceded by the Mancunian club winning 3-2 away to current Champions League Holders, Bayern Munich. So the 3-1 loss was for me limited damage inflicted and all the better with the team they put out against us. Nice to see one of the major clubs still taking this serious.

Half-time was a real delight when local woman Sam Bailey who had just won the 2013 X-Factor final at the weekend sang to over 31,000 people. Former prison warder the small woman with the most powerful voice I have ever heard in person. I’m not a real fan of the show and in fact I hadn’t watched a single episode this year. She sang two numbers ‘How Will I Know’ and her single ‘Skyscraper‘ which had both sets of fans transfixed. All around the KP Stadium you could see people with their mobiles filming this unique occasion. When she finished the whole stadium erupted in unison. She seems a down to earth woman and I hope she remembers her roots and keeps her feet firmly on the ground. So well done Sam you did Leicester City proud now lads get us promoted please!
