Impending Sounds : High Violet – Iron Net

High Violet are a fresh-faced 4 piece band from the Wirral who seem to be getting a lot of attention and not just locally either. This ‘Iron Net‘ is their new single which coincidently is a double A side with ‘The Wheel’, due out on 25 November 2013. The band’s music is based upon the strong vocals from Ryan Lee which is supplemented by his keen piano playing. Comparisons maybe made with Coldplay, but their music is far more rockier. This of course is due to Jake Kugloglu’s lush bass sound and Joe Akroyd’s robust drumming. The song ends with an eloquent instrumental piece that really highlights the guitar played by Joey Morton. I really look forward to hearing a more material from them in the near future. So have a listen to his gem of a single.
