Keeping It Peel : John Peel – Desert Island Discs

Well to celebrate John Peel Day today, 25 October 2013, I thought I bring you his recording of the hugely successful BBC Radio 4 series ‘Desert Island Discs‘. The show was first broadcast on 14 January 1990 when the great man was 50, strangely enough my age at present. I won’t go into too much about the man, as I have done so on many occasions. So why not sit back make a nice cup of tea and have a listen to that distinctive voice talk about music with Sue Lawley. Up and down the country many events will be taking place to celebrate the life of John Peel today too.
