Peel Sessions : B-Movie

Another in the occasional series made possible due to the wonderful exploits by some wonderful YouTube Up-loaders. I want to highlight some of those bands that John Peel had recorded sessions for his show over the years.

Today I’d thought I’d mention Mansfield’s finest, B-Movie who recorded a few great songs in their career. The second session is one recorded for fellow BBC DJ Richard Skinner which included the cult song ‘Nowhere Girl‘. Whilst signed to the Some Bizzare label many thought as I did they were destined for great things. They changed labels and had some recognition in the USA, then they disappeared. Even with these early versions you could see their song writing talents. Recently the band has been resurrected by Steve Hovington.

31 March 1981 – Polar Opposites – Welcome To The Shrink – Escalator – All Fall Down

2 April 1981 – The Devil In Me – Nowhere Girl – Love Me – Disturbed
