Echo & The Bunnymen – A Crystal Day 1984

Channel 4’s The Tube made a special about the show at St. George’s Hall entitled ‘A Crystal Day‘ with the Liverpool band Echo And The Bunnymen. I attended this concert which included us, the fans, doing various things including visiting a cafe, ferry ride and sing a certain song to get our tickets validated. We must have been mad, but it was so novel at the time and a great way to see the city. Around this period in time too I saw the band perform at London’s Royal Albert Hall and Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford Upon Avon (two shows afternoon and evening – supported by Ben Elton).

One Response to Echo & The Bunnymen – A Crystal Day 1984

I was at The Crystal Day show at St George’s Hall – a fantastic gig. I worked in Liverpool at the time (at Probe Records) and remember asking Brian afterwards what he thought about it – although I am sure he appreciated the extra business, he was a bit pissed off because he had wanted to go down to see the Tall Ships, and hadn’t been able to get out of the cafe!

So what do you think then ....
