Vox Pop : How Dartford Powered The Beat Boom

I came across this BBC documentary by accident when looking for some footage on Dartford, where I lived for around half of the 60’s. There I went to Wentworth school, the same as both Mick Jagger and Keith Richards I have been informed. It was there I made my first TV appearance, Play School as I sat next to Brian Cant’s son at school. They came and filmed us once and we were seen through the round window. That footage I’m still trying to find as yet to no avail. The school was unaware of its existence. Back to this programme which shows the life of the most influential amplifier of the era – The Vox AC30 amp. It’s a very interesting insight to something we all take for granted today that powers our music.
