Peel Sessions : Ultravox!

Another in the occasional series made possible due to the wonderful exploits by some wonderful YouTube Up-loaders. I want to highlight some of those bands that John Peel had recorded sessions for his show over the years.

Before they went all new romantic and enlisted the help of former Slik / Rich Kid’s lead singer Midge Ure, Ultravox were the innovative band to name drop. Led then by John Foxx they released three exceptional albums which still sound fresh today as they did over 35 years ago. They made synthesisers the thing to have which inspired an impressionable young Gary Numan. They still managed to keep their rocky edge. Have a listen to this the band sound raw yet at the time unique.
