John Peel – Personal Record Box

The late John Peel, had what was regarded as one of the biggest and most fascinating record collections in the entire world. Artists would send demo recordings originally on tape and latterly on CD in the hope he’d give them their five minutes of fame on his show. But what a lot of people didn’t know was that he had a record box which was his ‘collection within the collection’. So sit back and watch this fascinating documentary by Elaine Shepherd about this box which was dominated by one band, The White Stripes. Of course now his collection is being chronicled on the net and can be found on The Space.
