Peel Sessions : The Monochrome Set

The Monochrome Set probably had more labels than most bands but with their charismatic and intellectual lead singer Bid, they released some great pop songs. They were C86 before it was even thought of by the NME by seven years. They were great live delivering short perfect songs in rapid fire. But they were more than that lyrically interesting and diverse in their sound as you can hear from these sessions. Unfortunately the general public didn’t get it! Check out their website as they are still going today with a new album and a supporting tour.
