Hidden Gems : The Heart Throbs – In Vain

Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.

The Heart Throbs debut album ‘Cleopatra Grip‘ was for me the best album released back in 1990. There was so many great tracks on it like this selected one, ‘Dreamtime‘, ‘Tossed Away‘ and ‘Slip And Slide‘. They were on the cool One Little Indian label which had Bjork in it’s ranks. Admittedly there were many bands out at the time like Sleeper, The Primitives and Elastica . But they also reminded me of Blondie at their best too as they too could write a damn good pop song.

So should this have been a hit or a miss?
