Hidden Gems : Clock DVA – Resistance

Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.

Sheffield’s Clock DVA were one of the bands that got trapped when signed to Polydor Records. They had built up a cult following with their industrial sounding music but once signed to the major label they were pushed to be more commercial. This was one of the few exceptions from the latter period which was half decent but did not do as well as the label had hoped. Likewise the same could have been said of the single ‘Breakdown‘, whilst an earlier single ‘4 Hours‘ is a real indie classic.

So should this have been a hit or a miss?
