Hidden Gems : Colourbox – Baby I Love You So

Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.

Colourbox were a band signed to 4AD whom I became aware of when I was presented with the twelve-inch single of ‘Breakdown‘, still a firm favourite. Unlike other bands on the label they were very commercial, embracing different musical genre’s like reggae and soul plus they still had that indie dance feel to it. They released some wonderful songs in the shape of ‘The Official Colourbox World Cup Song‘, ‘Just Give ‘Em Whiskey‘ and ‘Say You‘. They collaborated with A R Kane and released a song under the name you will know well, M/A/R/R/S whom had the number one hit ‘Pump Up The Volume‘. Check out their legacy.

So should this have been a hit or a miss?
