Retro : BBC – Synth Britannia

I thought I would let you see again an excellent programme produced by the BBC on that instrument – the synthesiser. By the end of the 70’s just as punk was on the wane a new style of music would appear. It was different and in-fact caused Gary Numan hassle with the Musicians Union stating “it was putting their members out of work“! Absurd now if you really think about it. So sit back if you have around ninety minutes to spare! Artists included are Human League, OMD, Kraftwerk, Cabaret Voltaire, Depeche Mode, Heaven 17, New Order, Yazoo, John Foxx and many, many more.
