Robin Gibb : Pyromaniac Hotted Up The Dancefloors

It is getting to be an everyday occurrence for me to write about a deceased musician. It is all the more sad as we were given false hope earlier in the year when it seemed Robin Gibb had got through the worse. Still you can say he was a battler to the end and I have to give much respect for that. Having lost his twin Maurice back in 2003 it now only leaves Barry left of the family who moved to Australia from Manchester and came back and conquered the charts for decades to come. He kept some impersonators in business. It seems everyone was his friend and people not just acknowledged his musical skills which included writing many hits too. But he was regarded as one of the good guys, always time for anyone. But thankfully we can look back listen and remember some great songs that the Bee Gees released. You have to remember they were second only to The Beatles in record sales from this tiny island of ours. Never afraid to embrace the latest fad that was in vogue. During 1976 they became the disco kings when ‘Saturday Night Fever‘ was released as a film and a soundtrack to every dance floor around the world.
