Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.
Concluding my Liverpool weekend, I thought I’d highlight the band Pink Military who was fronted by Jayne Casey. They released the epic album ‘Do Animals Believe In God‘ way back in 1980 on the Eric’s label. They didn’t stay together long but what they did do was leave us some great tracks all mostly neglected by the vast majority of the music public. Just have a listen to ‘I Cry‘, ‘Back On The London Stage‘ and ‘After Hiroshima‘. Maybe there was a few bands similar at the time like Blondie, Penetration and The Photos. They did re-emerge as Pink Industry but they were a pale imitation of their former band.
So should it have been a hit or a miss?
