Hidden Gems : Fat Lady Sings – Arclight

Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.

Todays post is by the Dublin band The Fat Lady Sings, who’s first album ‘Twist‘ was at the time an album which I played to death. It was one of those records I could play in the shop back in 1991 and sell out before I’d finished playing the second or third track off it. This particular song always reminded me of Deacon Blue. Sales though were poor and soon afte their second album ‘Johnson’ they disappeared from the horizon.

So should this have been a hit or a miss?

I am an American who went to Trinity for my junior year of college. I met TFLS and loved them dearly. My friends and I followed them to a show in London, as well. They were very talented.

So what do you think then ....
