Hidden Gems : My Architects – Airborne

Continuing this very popular viewed series of Hidden Gems (tracks which should have been hits). I’ll present you a track via YouTube, Daily Motion, Soundcloud or another site. These posts are for the music only.

First heard this one night on BBC Radio 2’s Album Chart Show with Simon Mayo, within weeks I’d collected everything this band had released. Whilst on MySpace I got to know My Architects quite well, even helping them out with some graphics for their websites. I also given a whole album of unreleased material of which none are yet released. They also released the classic ‘Under The Pines‘ both taken from the album ‘Grand Designs‘. Sadly they’ve split up now but you can catch some cool footage of their only Canadian 2006 Tour, Part 1 & Part 2.

So should it have been a hit or not?

This probably fell into the cracks that Coldplay, Snow Patrol and the likes of Athlete left behind, very nice sound, are they Canadian??

  2. EHK says:

Yeah, too bad these guys split. A very promising debut, kind of waited for some new music to pop up, but I guess they never really reached the success they deserved. Hard competition in that genre, but c’mon: My Architects >> Snow Patrol

So what do you think then ....
