Well it’s just under a year now until the first installment of the Peter Jackson directed prequel to The Lord Of The Rings trilogy – The Hobbit (An Unexpected Journey). The story is based on the Tolkien story with a further film the following year bridging the gap between both of the original books. The last one will be more intriguing as it’s all new with nothing to associate it with. But being as Peter Jackson has always been faithful to the written stories I’m sure it will all turn out just wonderful.
Ian McKellen reprises his role as Gandalf again, with the main role of Bilbo Baggins played by Martin Freeman. Along with a cast that includes Cate Blanchett, Orlando Bloom, Ian Holm, Christopher Lee, Hugo Weaving, Elijah Wood, Evangeline Lilly, Andy Serkis and Richard Armitage. This two piece adaptation could be another precious piece of cinematography.
