Finally my beloved Leicester City get a game on the Beeb (free to air) Match Of The Day – Live, away to Birmingham City. Both teams now seem to be in full stride but note the West Midland side’s lowly position is mainly due to playing fewer games than most as they’re still in the Europa League.
Usually when we appear on the TV I shudder as we reserve our worst performances for the cameras. But for some reason I’m feeling rather confident this time. The team is becoming a ‘team’ at last even the defence looks solid – with four straight league games without a goal conceded. I’m strained to think when that last happen?
Sven in God we trust, has now got alot of cover in most positions and thus almost has the luxury to replace any one of the starting eleven with another good player. My one fear is that most teams raise their game against us, as we’re the team with the money and expected along with West Ham United to get automatic promotion. This was highlighted perfectly by our opening two home games which we collected no points.
Well it will be good to see Gary Lineker on the box actually be rooting impartially for the Foxes, our honorary President of the club. Lets hope old boys Robbie Savage and Steve Claridge don’t have too much to say about our performance. I’d be happy to come away with a draw at St. Andrews this Sunday lunch-time, though a 1-0 win would be better.
